A Must Watch Hollywood Movie For All Blacks: Black Panther (Review)

Everything you need to know about Black Panther

Black Panther

Black Panther is an American superhero film produced by Marvel Studios based on Marvel Comic Character of the same name. The 2018 movie is distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. It is the latest of the eighteenth film (Eight More in production) in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Black Panther, written by Ryan Coogler and Joe Robert Cole is directed by Ryan Coogler and Produced by Kevin Feige.

Plot: After the demise of his dad, T’Challa returns home to the African country of wakanda to assume his legitimate position as king. At the point when an intense adversary all of a sudden returns, T’Challa’s courage as ruler – and as Black Panther – gets tried when he’s drawn into a contention that puts the destiny of Wakanda and the whole world in danger. Looked with injustice and peril, the youthful king must rally his partners and discharge the full energy of Black Panther to vanquish his adversaries and secure the wellbeing of his kin.

Well,  Black Panther certainly is a power to figure with. I was extremely cheerful to be dark and glad. As I would like to think, I had never been interested by the back story of any superhuman like I was by the Black Panther character. How could he wind up Black Panther? Will he need to shroud his personality like other Marvel characters? The response to that is No. Dissimilar to other Marvel characters, everybody knows T’Challa is Black Panther.

I kinda had an issue with the name of the nation. It simply was not attractive to me but rather I figure I should acknowledge Wakanda as the anecdotal African nation they picked. As usual, it appears to be Hollywood is covertly enamored with Nigeria. They paid tribute to Nigeria once more and it was awesome to see that.

Presently, to the low down of the motion picture: The breakout star from me is the new confronted Letitia Wright. I discovered her character clever, fascinating and enthralling. I cherished how lively and clever her character was and I have no uncertainty she will do well in Hollywood if given the shot. I likewise had no clue she was British until the point when I did my exploration on her. In any case you should keep an eye out for this lady, she is a power to figure with.

Now to my favourite: Chadwick Boseman as always he commanded to screen from the beginning to the end. It also helps very much that he is sexy AF and knows how to delve deep into the T’Challa character. His character was very serious as expected of these super hero characters but can he was playful at times. I think he did a fantastic job.

Forest Whitaker and Angela Bassett gave good performances but really IMHO, I think they wanted heavy weight African-Americans in the movie but really could have done away without those characters. Others could have played their parts and it would still have been a good movie. Maybe I just think they wasted away in the background. I forgot to mention the new celebrated kid on the block Sterling K. Brown of the “This is Us fame” was also in the movie. The bobo can cry for Africa sha.

I genuinely liked the M’Baku character because he is that character that you love to hate but then redeems himself.

The other characters (Dania Gurira’’s “Okoye and Daniel Kaluuya’s “W’Kabi”) made the movie but let’s delve deep into the movie itself. If we are looking for authenticity as it relates to location, I will give them a 5/10. I would have loved them to make Wakanda more believable. Maybe the Nigeria bit was believable but the Wakanda setting was a bit farfetched and to me was more Star Wars than anything else.

The costume was also a bit exaggerated but again that is the media perpetrating what they feel Africa should be. I also felt there were more authentic actors that could have played some of the roles to give the accent some authenticity. Frankly I got bored out of my mind with the accent. No one I know in Africa talks like that. It was too exaggerated but still does not take away from how good this movie was.

In general, I give the motion picture 8.5/10 for keeping me wakeful and caution through the entire film. Not once did I have a craving for resting or did I sense that I squandered my cash. Believe me I watched Captain America twice before I could sit through the entire film. No, it was not exhausting but rather I just couldn’t remain conscious. However this film kept me alarm.

Young Ryan Coogler is the real MVP here. I love how he directs and all his movies have been amazing to me from Fruitvale Station to this Black Panther. I hope he keeps up this trajectory.

In the event that I should say as much, Black Panther is an extraordinary motion picture and please I beseech you to watch it this end of the week for us to outperform the projections.

Oh yeah how dare I leave Michael B. Jordan’s character out. Who would have thunk (yeah I know it is bad English) it. You should watch out for that twist.

How can I forget Lupita. Her character was much needed and pivotal to the story line. I think she did a fantastic job.
